Hello friends! Welcome to my blog. This is post #1, how exciting!!! And also terrifying. It’s exciting because I have worked so hard and come so far from where I started in 2017, and I want to share that with you. Terrifying because I am opening myself up to complete strangers. I will be revealing some intimate details and showing some very vulnerable parts of myself. Not to mention that a blog is a commitment that takes consistency. And let’s be real…consistency is something I struggle with daily!! (As I am typing this, I might be talking myself out of this, and you guys may never read it!)
What this blog is NOT! This blog is not a step-by-step guide to getting your life together. I am not a doctor…nor do I play one on TV. However, if given the opportunity to be Meredith Grey’s newest intern, I would totally quit my day job!! Yes, I realize I aged out of intern status about 20 years ago. LOL! In all seriousness, I do not want people to read this blog expecting to be told what needs to happen for you to have a perfect life or complete mental health. The point of this blog is to give examples of my experiences and share stories to which you can relate. Hopefully, I can offer some suggestions and share my methods that you can modify to assist you in overcoming some of your own struggles.
What you CAN expect! First and foremost, I am not an English major. My background is business and all things Career and Technical Education (CTE.) My posts will be bottom lined and direct; I am not a high weeds and flowery language writer. I will be telling you more about Coate Mindset and giving you background on me and the events leading to this point in time. I will go into detail about the deviation from the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) acronym. For purposes of this blog, the acronym is as follows: G=goals, O=outlook, A=authentic, T=truth.
I need your help! This journey is ongoing. I am not finished learning, healing, and growing. That’s where you come into this process: I invite you to join me. This blog is an interactive platform where we can help each other. I want you to share your experiences that may be like mine, and I want to build relationships and support each other in areas of our lives that are not easy. Everyone struggles with something; know that you are not alone in that! I am glad you are here, and I hope you will follow me on my journey.
