This weekend felt different.
Not because anything extravagant happened. Not because there was some big milestone or dramatic moment. It was quieter than that. Simpler.
It just felt… right.
You know those moments when you pause and think, Right here. Right now. I am exactly where I am meant to be. That’s what the whole weekend felt like. A deep, steady peace. A settled confidence. Not rushed. Not striving. Just aligned.
And I don’t take that lightly.
I really believe we are all here for a purpose. Not by accident. Not randomly placed. Not wandering through life hoping something sticks. I believe God is intentional — with our gifts, our environments, our relationships, and even our timing.
Southern Specialty has become such a bright spot for me. I truly look forward to my weekends there. Getting to meet and visit with everyone who walks into the boutique fills my cup in a way that complements the work I do during the week. There is something special about connection — about conversations that happen over clothing racks, about laughter shared between customers and coworkers, about building something that feels like community.

I’m especially excited about growing the mah-jongg community here in Navarre. There is something beautiful about gathering around a table. Slowing down. Learning together. Building friendships. It feels meaningful. It feels purposeful. And I love being part of that.
And the women I get to work alongside — Lisa, Magda, Naomi, Claire, Zoey, Myra — they are a gift. Truly. They bring joy, encouragement, humor, and strength. It is everything I need in that space.
Then, during the week, I step into Locklin Technical College, and I am surrounded by another work family that pours into me daily. The work we are doing there matters. Educating and equipping the future workforce of Santa Rosa County is not small. It’s not insignificant. It is purposeful work. And I believe in it with my whole heart.

This morning at church, the sermon wrapped up a series on trying times — seasons of trial, refining, stretching. And the final thought was purpose. That even in the hard seasons, even in the unexpected turns, there is purpose.
And that really settled into me.
Because if I’m being honest, there have been moments in my life where I’ve thought, I imagined this season looking different. I’ve caught myself comparing what is to what I thought would be. Quietly questioning timing. Wondering if I missed something along the way.
But I’m tired of that narrative.
If I truly trust the Lord… if I truly believe that He works all things together for good… if I truly believe He uses every experience — the joyful ones and the painful ones — to shape us and position us…Then I have to believe I am not behind. I am not misplaced. I am being prepared.
Maybe the trials weren’t detours. Maybe they were refining moments. Maybe they were shaping my character, strengthening my faith, and aligning my heart so I could recognize purpose when I stepped into it.
I want to shift my posture from questioning to leaning in. From wondering if this is where I thought I’d be…To asking, How do I honor Him right here?
Because purpose isn’t always a title. It isn’t always a platform. Sometimes it’s found in the ordinary faithfulness of showing up. Loving people well. Using the gifts He’s placed in your hands. Glorifying Him in the spaces you’ve been given.
Right now, I feel aligned. Aligned with the people around me. Aligned with the work in front of me. Aligned with the quiet whisper that reminds me I am here on purpose.
And more than anything, I am grateful. Grateful for the people in my life. Grateful for community. Grateful for the connection. Grateful for the opportunities to serve, to build, to teach, to encourage.
I don’t want to take any of it for granted.
I’m excited about leaning in — about continuing to discover and realize the purpose that’s meant for my life. Not striving for something different. Not wishing away this season. But embracing it fully. If He has placed me here, then there is purpose here.
And I am ready to walk in it — faithfully, gratefully, and with my eyes fixed on honoring Him in all of it.
